Boats are using to not only for transporting but for merry making too. It is designed to float on, and provide transport over, water. Usually this water will be inland or in protected coastal areas at the same time Whale boats are historically designed to be operated from a ship in an offshore environment. In Naval terms, a boat is something small enough to be carried aboard another vessel. Usually today, the water transport is not so common as road transport Modern submarines may also be referred to as boats (in spite of underwater capabilities and size), but this is possibly due to the fact that the first submarines could be carried by a ship and were certainly not capable of making offshore passages on their own. Boats may have military, the government, research, or commercial usage ; but a vessel, regardless of size, that is in private, non-commercial usage is almost certainly a boat

All operators of vessels that are under 21 must have passed a boater safety course and possess a Boater Safety ID card that is issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Do you want to chart a boat in Miami?
Miami is a big place and there you should get boats and yachts according to your budget.
1. What is a charter?
A yacht charter is basically renting a boat for a specific amount of time, but there are a number of things that make it a charter, and not just a rental. First off, a charter is generally for boats over 30 feet. Secondly, a charter is generally for a minimum of four hours in duration. When you charter a boat you are agreeing to a block of time and you are committed to that time. Charters generally require a contract, a deposit, and a gratuity at the end.
2 Different types of charters.
Basically there are two types of charters. They are Bareboat Charters and Crewed Charters.
The bare boat charter is where you chart the boat for a period of time and you are in charge of skippering the boat, provisioning, and making sure nothing happens to it while it is under your command.
Bareboat charters typically given for the minimum period of three days or longer. Very few companies will allow you to bareboat charter a boat for less than three days. If you want to take a bareboat charter will require a refundable security deposit, as well as a reservation deposit. In addition to that a signed contract and must have a proof to someone from your team able to handle the yacht. And must have the sufficient document to prove his experience in handling the yatch. If there is no one in your team capable of skippering the boat, you can also hire a third party to be a captain if the charter company allows this.
A crewed charter
A crewed charter is a charter that has a captain and, in some cases, crew. The captain and crew navigate and handle the boat, and often will prepare meals or snacks, attend to the charter guests needs and make sure that everyone on board is safe and accounted for. You can expect that a crewed charter will require a reservation deposit and contract, as well as a gratuity for a job well done at the end.
If you just want to out on the water for a day here is what you need to know. First off, you need to know if you want to be out on the boat for a half-day or a full day. A half-day is 4 hours and a full day is 8 hours. Next, you need to decide whether you want to go out on a sailboat or a motor yacht. Last, you need to know how many people will be in your party. All of these factors will affect the price and availability of boats for you.
For example, most charter boats, both sail and power alike, can only accomodate up to 6 paying passengers. This is because most charter captains only have a 6-pack license, which allows them to take up to 6 paying passengers.
Passenger Capacity
Any vessel that wants to be able to carry more than six paying passengers must have a special inspection and certification by the Coast Guard. Because of this special Coast Guard certification, vessels that can carry more than 6 paying passengers are more costly. This certification is for safety reasons, so if you are looking to book a yacht for more than 6 passengers be sure that it is US Coast Guard certified. Reputable and law abiding charter companies will have all the necessary certifications for their vessels.
For a day charter for 6 passengers or less, generally speaking, a sailboat will always be more economical than a power boat or motor yacht. The reason for this is that a sailboat charter has fewer fuel costs than a motor yacht. You can expect a half day sailboat charter to range in price anywhere from $400 - $650 depending on the size and type of yacht, whereas a half day charter on a motor yacht can range in price anywhere from $900 - $1800 depending on the size of yacht and how far you travel.
