Cellulitis

 

This infection of the skin is prone to spreading and even happens beneath the skin. There is extreme sensitivity and swellings due to infection by a streptococcal or a staphylococcal wound and it even includes being caused due to bites from animals or humans or water-related injuries. The legs get affected and there are injuries between toes. Swollen, sensitive, warm, bruises, blister, high temperature and headaches are common symptoms. Folliculitis

 

Inflammatory hair follicles are folliculitis. The boils are sensitive and swell around the follicles and this happens on the neck, breasts; buttocks and on the face. Carbuncles are a bunch of boils in one area of the skin. Symptoms that are common are hair follicles that have pus on them or that are red and prone to irritation and hair that is damaged. The boils have pus in the middle of it and the discharge is white and bloody. Likewise the carbuncles also have pus in the center, discharge, tiredness and high temperatures. Clean skin, oral antibiotics and heat that is moist are forms of treatment.

 

Erysipelas

 

Hermolytic streptococci causes this infection to the skin that is cut usually in the face, on the arms or legs and the symptoms are tiny rash that is reddish and shines, small blisters and enlarged nodal lymphs and is treated with penicillin or erythromycin

 

Erythrasma

 

This is more found in the tropical regions and the infection takes place on the topmost skin and this condition is often found in diabetic persons and is found in places where the skin brushes against skin such as under breasts and groin. Symptoms are pinkish patches that are not regular that ultimately change into brownish scales. Antibiotics and antibacterial soap can be used to treat this condition that is prone to recur.

 

Impetigo

 

Another skin disease that happens because of infected staphylococci such as blisters that are full of pus and can be visible in places on the face, arm or on the leg. Immediate antibiotics help in treating this skin condition

 

Paronychia

 

This skin disorder takes place around the nail of your finger or toe and this happens because of skin breakage due to hangnail, manicure or any other consistent irritation. Common symptoms are pain and abscess that is full of pus. This skin disorder is treated by compressing the infected area with warm fomentation or having the area soaked in tepid water or having the abscess cut and pus removed; antibiotics or using antifungal cream or ointment.
