First aid classFirst aid can be defined as the first help that a person can be given in the form of some bandage, medicine or any other simple help when the person is injured or wounded. Not every time a person is lucky enough to have an accident before the hospital gates and gets the required medicine and ailments on the spot. Accidents or mishaps may occur at any place that may be far from the hospital or any other local medical authority. And it may take time to take the person the right medical facilities. The time that can be consumed during transferring the patient to the hospital is very much crucial. And at that time if the patient is given some first aid the overall serious effects on the ailing person may be minimized if not reduced completely during the transit hour.
In some cases there is a lack of proper operation facility that may be required to the person who passed from an accident. In such cases a person needs to be shifted from the small hospital to the big and better hospital facilities. During the shifting process a person cannot be kept as such. Thus a first aid is given so that the losses can be controlled for some time until the patient reaches the proper medical facilities.
Who need first aid class and why?
Everyone in the society needs to attend first aid classes for at least once in the lifetime. Reason being that people living in the civilization can felt the need of giving first aid to the accident or mishap sufferer, either its themselves or any other of there friends, family members or any third person. Following needs to attend the first aid class.
1. Children.
Children are the lifelines of the parents. If anything happens to them, it directly affects the life of the parents together. Since children are the one getting in small troubles every time due to their anxious and exploring behavior, and also the parents can?t keep their eye on children all the time. So it is advisable to teach children about first aid through first aid classes, so that they can learn to save themselves and their friends from the small accidents that may occur any time.
2. Youngsters.
Since youngsters are the one who unlike children have more power and brain, which may put them in trouble again and again due to many reasons. They are the one who needs to be taught first aid lessons through first aid class. By teaching them first aid lessons they will be able to control themselves against big risks and may even save the lives of their fellow friends.
3. Family members.
A family includes mother, father, uncle, aunt, grandfather, grandmother etc. They are the one who have the responsibility of keeping their homes and lives of the kids safe inside the house. If they are given first aid education then they will be able to teach their kids, about taking precautions from things that may result in some accident. Those things that may look less important but can create big problem and result in some big accident. For instance family members teaching their children not to run with the scissors or blade in hand, not to keep the candle on the cloth, not to throw water on the electric wire etc.
4. Old people.
Old people also need to take first aid classes. Reason being that it is accepted that they won?t make any silly mistake after reaching this part of life, but who can predict mishaps. Anyone around can met with an accident at any time. At such time some tips of first aid given to the sufferer can do some benefit and can even save lives. Also the old people should know that in case of the heart beat declining the pressing of the chest of the other person can help regain its heart beat back to life.
Contents of the first aid class.
The first aid class should be given by the expert with the latest knowledge and know how. Mostly the Red Cross society sends some persons for teaching people about first aid. The contents of the first aid class should be divided in three parts.
1. Precautions to avoid accidents.
Precautions that are simple and if taken can avoid big accidents should be the first part of the first aid education. These precautions can be about keeping things in their respective place like knife, scissors, matchbox, lighter etc. All these things if not kept in their respective place can create problem and result in some accident.
2. Action during accident.
An appropriate action taken after the happening of an accident can result in saving loss to the body and life of the people. That is giving a proper first aid to the person suffering, can help in reducing the losses that the body may have to suffer due to transit to the appropriate medical authorities. Thus a person with the first aid knowledge can prove to be a lifesaver at such time than by just becoming a spectator.
3. Things needed to kept always.
A list of things that every person traveling or at home should keep with him/her. The list includes the following items that may prove quite helpful at the time of some accident. These are as follows.
a. Antiseptic soap.
b. Antiseptic cream.
c. Antiseptic liquid.
d. Cotton.
e. Bandage.
f. Pain killer.
All the above mentioned things are the most wanted things that come into high usage after the occurrence of an accident. The presence of these things with even a single person during an accident can save the lives of many and help control the damages to the body until the patient reaches the appropriate medical facility.

In the end, every single person in the society needs to take the class of first aid at least once in life, which may later help in saving life of many people suffering due to occurrence of some accident. Also the contents of the first aid class should include the precautionary measures, actions during accident and presence of some things all the time with the people traveling or even at home.
