Estate belonging to Veteran actor, Sir John Mills and his playwright wife estate went under the hammer at a sale in Bristol, and it contain Antiques and collectables. Both died recently and their family has decided to auction of a host of items.

 

It contains Sir John's favorite chair and a mahogany canopy given to the actor by Vivien Leigh and many items including theatre posters, books, porcelain, furniture, garden ornaments and even awards.

 

Police station:

 

A station in Dromore and one in Ballygawley were each sold to developers for more than £600,000. Earlier it was home the Royal Ulster Constabulary officers and later the Police Service of Northern Ireland stayed there.

 

In view of the locations advantage for residential purpose the two locations are purchased.

 

Shrubland Hall in Barham:

 

Shrubland Hall in Barham, Suffolk, which is on the market for £23m, is being sold by owner Lord de Saumarez to pay off death duties. Sotheby's had estimated that the property from the estate, which included more than 1,700 items, would fetch £3m at the auction.

 

Collectors came from Europe, Russia and the USA to bid for the items.

 

The house has been owned by the de Saumarez family since the late 1880s. Items for sale included cupboards stacked high with porcelain services, Old Master paintings collected by previous generations, and furniture commissioned and purchased to furnish the stately home.

 

Wales Castle:

 

A west Wales castle with links to Dylan Thomas has been sold to a Welshman for an undisclosed sum. Laugharne Castle, along with a nine-bedroom Georgian house, was put up for sale at an auction on Saturday. It had been thought it might fetch in the region of £1m.
