studenteSmart, selfish, money machines, care a damn attitude, or honest and genuine If you feel they are wasting time on play stations or internet, you are absolutely mistaken because they are creating their own way and defining their lives at an early age. They have come a long way and now they want to define firmly and work on what they feel is their way of life. Let us describe them by dividing a normal student's life into four parts.
1. Behavior. In other terms its people management
2. Fashion. How important it is for them to look good.
3. Openness. How open and firm are they regarding their career.
4. Money making. What different ways they find to earn that extra buck.
Today's generation doesn't believe in what others around you want from you. They always think what they want and what makes them happy. The simple concept they follow is 'why the hell are you interfering in my life Whether its good or bad, its tough to understand the tech savvy students. But the big question that remains unanswered is 'What they want and what they do to achieve those wants'. Who's responsible for this behavioral change in them Partially, its the parents who have a pre conceived mind that their kids are supposed to be like they want them to be.
For today's students, one of the most important aspects of their life is dressing. They don't want to be left behind in anything they do, may it be IT or best fashion statement or high qualifications or new inventions, no stone is left unturned to exploit and rise to fame at an early age. For all they believe that smart dressing is the way of life for impressing their girls, cracking an interview, going out to party or addressing a gathering. When I say Fashion Statement, I mean how well they are making acquaintances, how well they are able to gather people and get their attention. So todays fashion statement for students is people management. People management, which is one of the subjects in MBA, is now a way of life for this generation. This makes way for them to create and fly high in their career.
Todays generation students know what they are good at and try to improvise in
a great way. They understand their hidden talent and exploit that skill at an early age to develop and improve on the same. They are very open on what they want to be and work towards making a great career. If you go back and start analyzing how you planned your life and compare that with students of today, you will be amazed. You dont have an option but to accept the change and agree that new kids are much smarter and outspoken than they were ever before. They have an attitude that brings a variety of questions to fore. Is this going to help them make their career Is it right for them to be outspoken Is it right for them to be open and how long is this gong to continue Trust me, it is just the beginning and the beginning has been good and on a positive note. One factor everyone should understand is with every good, a bad follows, a battery can only run with a positive and a negative. So biggies, dont expect everything that your son does is going to be right, expect a negative and try to help him in overcoming it by him. This way, you are guiding him towards self confidence and positive attitude. The final frontier for the students is how they earn money. Let us all sit and look at some examples of how students in the past use to earn money and how students are earning big money today.
Money making in the past meant having a 9-5 permanent job which will fetch you a fixed amount by month-end or by fortnight. Get up in the morning at 6. Work out in the gym and go to office. Come back by 6. The scenario has changed however nothing to do with attitude of the young genre but sure they are working real hard to earn that extra buck. Day or night, early morning or late night, nothing bothers them. They always are career oriented and want to prove a point in no time. Gone are the days when promotions were not heard of. Now-a-days, promotions are heard everyday in and out of every office. Talent recognition has become a very important aspect and kids are leaving no stone unturned to prove their point. Students earn money out of internet cafes by promoting online advertising, by doing multi level marketing, by doing a part-time sales job, by writing articles for a magazine or by working nights for a reputed call center. The exposure that comes out of all these part-time jobs helps them a lot in building their career and understanding their potential. Money making has become the prime motive of todays genre. How they earn it and save for the future is very important. So if you see your kid online, dont mistake him for anything but for he might be buying a Mercedes very soon as a gift on your anniversary.
E commerce has brought a massive change in the way people live and earn. Small incomes help students to tap and utilize time in a much better way than just waste it by unfair and useless activities. The students before completing their graduation are venturing into online business and earning big bucks and rest assured they dont have to worry about savings for the rest of their life. Is it good to start thinking financially at that age This question only comes because we dont do it. What ever we do is right and perfect. Dont expect your kid to earn the same way that you did all your life. Let them fail. In failure there is learning. Let them learn the hard way. This will make them tough and responsible.
Finally, Let us conclude on a good note that the younger generation is much better and are much faster in what ever they do and achieve. Dont degrade or discourage a young mind to do what he wants to, instead encourage and support him. They will make us proud very soon. The attitudes and behaviors shouldnt bother anyone but for themselves. So let us all salute the young kids on the block and their achievements. Appreciate their good deeds and guide them in a right path. This makes them positive and confident. Let them feel and understand that there is someone who cares for them and support them in tough times.
This one is for the younger generation. Be positive and honest. ATTITUDE. Convert it into numbers and add them. You will get 100. No other word gets 100. Have a positive attitude and you will achieve 100% success.
