Peanut butter cake


Peanut butter is a paste made from ground roasted peanuts.It is popular in United States,Australia,the United Kingdom,Canada,South Africa,Papua New Guinea,Newzealand and the Nederlands. Peanut butter is very popoular in Brazil. Peanut Butter has been used as a coating for Israel\'s most popular snack known as Bamba crisps.

 

Nutritional Value of Peanut Butter

 

It contains high levels of monosaturated fat and Resveratrol.It acts against Cardiovascular Diseases. It is an excellent source of proteins,vitamin B3 and C. It also contains Magnesium, Folate,dietary Fiber and Arginine. The high levels of antioxidants present in peanuts is known as p-coumaric acid. Peanut butter is high in fatand contains good amounts of iron,niacinand protein.

1.Peanut Butter Bundt Cake

 

Serves:16

 

Ingredients

 

Flour-2-1/4 cups

 

Brown Sugar-1cup

 

Sugar-1 cup

 

Peanut Butter-1 cup

 

Butter-1/2 cup

 

Baking Powder-1tsp

 

Baking Soda-1/2 tsp

 

Milk-1 cup

 

Vanilla1-1/2 tsp

 

Eggs-3

 

Semi sweet Choclate Chips-2 cups

 

Peanut Butter-1/3 cups

 

Method of Preparation:

 

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 10 cup bundt pan.

 

For streusel cake:

 

Combine Flour,Sugar,brown sugar,1 cup peanut butterand butter in a large bowl and mix at low speed.

 

Set aside one cup of this streusel mixture. The remaining ingredients are added to the remaining mixture in the bowl. With low speed,blend until it is cobined. Then beat for three mins. Half of this batter is poured into the prepared pan.

 

Add one cup of choclate chips into the streusel mixture and stir. Sprinkle streusel over batter in pan. Spread remaining batter over streusel with a spoon. Bake at 350 degrees F for 55-66 mins. Insert a tooth pick in the center and check if it comes out clean. Allow to cool in pan for 15 mins. Then loosen over edges and turn panto serving plate. After cooling completely frosting can be done as below.

 

Choclate Chip Cake:

 

Cobine all ingredients except chocolate chips in bowl.Add 1/3 cup peanut butter and beat on a low speed. After it is combined,beat at 3 mins medium speed. Stir in the chocolate chips using the hand. Spoon batter into pan.At 350 degrees F,bake for 55-66 mins. Check using a tooth pick which is inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10 mins. Loosen edges turn pan onto serving table. After cooling completely,frosting can be done.

 

Frosting:

 

Melt one cup of chocolate chips with 1/3 cup peanut butter in a small saucepan. Spoon over cake.
