Description

Extension to manage Color Palettes for Fireworks on a per project basis.

Installation instructions

Drop the .jsf or .swf file into the Commands (or Command Panels) folder then run the command or if you have a mxp file, double-click the mxp and installation is automatic.

Formatting and editing the External XML File

The panel reads the color info from an XML file (colors.xml). You can edit the location of this file by clicking the Edit button located beside the Project list dropdown. Any URL recognized by Flash is valid.

The XML file should have the following format:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

<panel>

    <palette name="Project/Brand Name">

        <color hex="#XXXXXX"><description>Description text</description></color>

    </palette>

</panel>

You may add any number of palettes with any number of colors.

You can edit the xml file in NotePad, TopStyle or Dreamweaver.

Applying the colors

Click 'Edit', enter a valid URL and click 'Save'
Choose a project in the dropdown.
With an object selected on your canvas, choose 'Fill' or 'Stroke' and click on the color square to apply that color.
